Hutchings Plant Hire is a family owned business started by Carol and Jamie Hutchings in the early 90’s. Back then we specialized in the timber transport industry operating a small log haulage operation. With uncertainty in the timber industry the company moved into Earthmoving, predominantly grading, with Jamie having previous experience with forestry road construction and maintenance. The earthmoving operation grew steadily with the need for extra personnel Mark returned home to join the team. Over the years the reins have slowly been handed over with the change of ownership completed in 2015. With an increasing fleet and personnel the business is growing steadily, with 2 graders, 2 water carts, tractor/roller, excavator, widening float and other miscellaneous items and a staff of 5, we are poised to take on anything thrown at us. With a great network of reliable subcontractors we can handle a vast range of projects in the bulk earthworks/civil construction industry.
